DHW (Department for Health and Wellbeing) Infrastructure is dedicated in supporting Graduates who are interested in gaining experience, knowledge, and skills within the Infrastructure / Built environment. As an Infrastructure Graduate, you will assume a significant role in supporting SA Health's Infrastructure division. Your contributions will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective execution of projects, the management of properties and assets, and the support of the government's commitment to transparency and accountability. 

Key Responsibilities:


  • As an Infrastructure Graduate, you will hold a pivotal role in supporting the infrastructure function which includes managing SA Health’s capital program including delivery of major infrastructure projects (including provision of technical advice), providing executive leadership and information for SA Health’s built assets (including embedding environmentally sustainable principles), delivering land and property services to SA Health and DHW, and managing the delivery of biomedical engineering services.
  • Your contributions will enhance the efficient delivery of projects, asset management, and uphold government transparency, making a significant impact on public sector operations through your dedication to public service. 
  • Support strategic and analytical critical thinking.
  • Provide proactive and timely advice and management of key infrastructure initiatives and agency programs, including coordinating the implementation of change / improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Assist the business support functions including reporting and analytics.
  • Foster positive relationships with other relevant government departments.
  • Actively contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the infrastructure Division in the Department for Health and Wellbeing.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Appropriate Degree level qualification obtained in the three years prior.
  • Demonstrated anticipation and agility when presented with a potential problem and ability to highlight workable solutions. 
  • Strong written communication, particularly demonstrated in emails, reports, letters and technical documents. 
  • Strong verbal communication which is clear and succinct.
  • Readily establish rapport with colleagues in a working environment.  
  • Experience working with others in a team environment to achieve successful outcomes.  
  • Comprehend obligations associated with confidential information and handling disclosure of sensitive information in a commercial and political environment.  
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and provision of  assistance in a timely manner.  
  • Prior experience in managing multiple priorities with consideration to time allocation and customer satisfaction.  
  • Undergo and provide a clear National Police Check.
  • Willingness to provide immunisation records (due to healthcare environment) a minimum of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations are required.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
